Developer resources

SalesMagic for developers and AI agents.

Use these public resources to understand SalesMagic, answer product questions, compare published plans, and direct users to the right page. They are read-only and do not expose customer information, account data, or call transcripts.

Public product information

GET /api/v1/marketing returns the product description, audiences, capabilities, pricing, and contact links as JSON. No API key, authentication, or query parameters are required. Cache the response for five minutes. This informational endpoint does not create accounts, start roleplays, purchase plans, or analyze calls.

curl https://www.salesmagic.com/api/v1/marketing

The OpenAPI 3.1 description includes the operation identifier, typed response schema, and error contract. Unsupported query parameters return HTTP 400. Unsupported write methods return HTTP 405 with an Allow header. Both return application/problem+json with type, title, status, detail, and resolution.

Versioning and deprecation

The /api/v1/marketing endpoint is the stable v1 contract. Additive fields are compatible; breaking changes require a new major URL version. The original /api/marketing endpoint remains a supported alias. The /api discovery entry point returns the same public information and API-description links. No retirement is scheduled. Any future retirement will be announced here and through Deprecation and Sunset response headers before removal.

Conditional requests

Save the ETag header alongside the JSON response. Send that value in an If-None-Match header when refreshing. HTTP 304 means the content is unchanged, so reuse the saved response body. Conditional requests still count toward the instance allowance. No authentication is required.

Request allowance

Each server instance allows 120 public information requests per minute, shared across callers. This is a lightweight instance guard, not a global or account quota. RateLimit-Policy and RateLimit headers describe the allowance and remaining window; X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining, and X-RateLimit-Reset are also provided. HTTP 429 responses include Retry-After in seconds. Honor that delay and reuse product information locally for five minutes. Hosting-level protection may apply independently.

Markdown and discovery

Start with llms.txt for product context and when-to-use guidance. Public marketing pages and blog articles support an explicit Accept: text/markdown request. Responses use Vary: Accept to keep HTML and Markdown representations distinct in caches. The sitemap lists public pages.

curl -H 'Accept: text/markdown' https://www.salesmagic.com/pricing

SalesMagic CLI

The official, dependency-free SalesMagic CLI reads public product facts and pricing. It requires Node.js 22 or later, with no account or API key. Download the script, review it, and run it locally. It cannot create accounts or access private workspace data.

Download the SalesMagic CLI

curl -fSLo salesmagic.mjs https://www.salesmagic.com/tools/salesmagic.mjs
node salesmagic.mjs --help
node salesmagic.mjs product
node salesmagic.mjs pricing --json
node salesmagic.mjs signup

Commands read the live public API. JSON output is available with --json; failures exit with a nonzero status. Honor the Retry-After guidance on rate limits. Distribution is a direct download; there is no npm, PyPI, or Homebrew package.

Authentication and scope

The public-information API is intentionally anonymous and read-only. It has no OAuth authorization server, delegated permissions, or account-management operations. Google and Microsoft account sign-in are separate application flows. We do not currently publish an MCP server.

Product integrations

For the product's webhook functionality, see the SalesMagic webhook documentation. The public product-information API is separate from authenticated application workflows. Contact support@salesmagic.com about integration requirements.
